Kuopio Tanssii ja Soi – Kuopio Dance Festival association
Founded in 1969, the association aims to promote the practice and professionalism of dance, music and cultural tourism at local, national and international level. Within the framework of its statutes, the association can organise dance performances, concerts, seminars, training and other cultural activities.
The association does not seek profit or other financial gain from its activities. The association is a member of Finland Festivals ry, Kuopio City Centre Development Association ry, Dance Art Support ry, Kuopio Entrepreneurs ry and Kuopio Chamber of Commerce.
Mission
Kuopio Dance Festival is an attractive event that serves as a showcase for high-quality Finnish and international dance art. The event provides experiences, spiritual enrichment, inclusion, education and training. Festival is one of the leading events of Kuopio’, raising the city’s profile, generating increased tourism revenue and increasing well-being.

Our vision is to continue to grow and to be a strong mass event with quality cultural content in an accessible and equal way.
