Kuopio Dance Festival events at Kauppatori and Elo-Forum are the most memorable moments of the summer for many festival-goers. These events are free to the public and attract thousands of spectators every year.
Carnival parade
The carnival parade brings color, southern European carnival spirit and the thrill of dance to the city’s streetscape. The parade is a playful competition where the best groups are awarded. The parade proceeds from Snellmaninpuisto to Kuopio Market Square, where the groups perform on the Savonia stage.
