The whole family is welcome to enjoy ballet at the performance of the Ballet Academy of the Finnish National Opera and Ballet! There will be a magnificient ensemble of miniature works that the whole family is welcome to watch!
Young and talented dancers from all over Finland are charming on stage, performing excerpts from many classics as well as other wonderful miniature works and student works.
We will see a Pas de Deux choreographed by Marius Petipa from the Sleeping Beauty and an excerpt from Jalokivet. We are also introduced to the Swan Lake ballet through two pieces: Waltz and Pas de Trois variations.
There will also be a Pas de sept from the ballet A Folk Tale, choreographed by August Bournonville, and the Dance of the Nymphs choreographed by Susanna Vironmäki. In addition, the performance ensemble includes a solo performance Iva, a piece Kohtaaminen created as a student work of the vocational education choreography workshop, and an excerpt from Mammu Rankanen’s piece Virtaava.
The performance is hosted by Riku Lehtopolku and Ballet school’s principal Satu Ristlakki.
