Soul Chain by tanzmainz / Sharon Eyal (GER)

Captivating Soul Chain is a work about love, longing and the loneliness that resides in each of us. The choreography created by Sharon Eyal in collaboration with Gai Behar meets Ori Lichtik’s electronic music in an impressive performance that won the prestigious Der Faust Theater -award in 2018. 

Even though the piece is about love, you should not expect too much romance. Rather, Eyal’s recognizable, powerfully physical language of movement challenges the dancers to their limits. The piece’s unrelenting, animalistic energy releases emotions and pours them onto the skin, while making the individuality of each performer visible. 

Extreme precision, elegance and ferocity are combined in the interpretation of the dazzling dancers into a hypnotic entity that holds its grip unflinchingly.
