G SongLab goes Dance

Registration closes on May 15th. Places are limited. You do not need previous experience. The workshop is free of charge.

In the G SongLab goes Dance workshop, musicians and dancers get to produce their own work!

G SongLab (www.gsonglab.fi) is a community of young people interested in making their own music, with songwriting workshops, online meetings and many other activities. At the Kuopio Dance Festival, G SongLab also includes dancers who can create choreographies together with professionals. In a three-day workshop, young musicians and dancers will have the chance to create works that combine a self-made song with choreography!

The songwriting will be guided by singer/songwriter Anna Kuoppamäki and songwriter/music producer Petter Korkman. The choreography is directed by dance artist Samuli Emery.

Location: Kuopio Art High School Lumit
Schedules:
Wed June 12th at 1 pm – 5.30pm
Thu June 13th at 11am – 4 pm.
Fri June 14 at 11 am – 4 pm In addition, the works created in the workshop on Friday will be presented at the Music Centre’s Elo-Forum at 5pm.
The performance will be streamed on the festival’s Facebook page and recorded for two weeks on Youtube.
